CiRBEC brings together members from universities and research organisations across Europe, creating a collaborative platform for exchanging knowledge, developing new ideas and building partnerships across institutions and disciplines. The collective provides a space where members can connect their expertise, explore emerging research questions and work together on shared challenges related to the transition towards a more circular and regenerative built environment.

CiRBEC’s activities are organised around three interconnected areas: research, education and transformation. In research, the collective supports the development of joint projects, publications and collaborations around relevant research and funding opportunities. In education, it encourages the exchange of knowledge, methods and experiences and explores opportunities for joint educational activities. Through transformation, CiRBEC aims to connect research and education with the wider changes needed to put circular and regenerative principles into practice.

At its core, CiRBEC is built around collaboration, co-creation and shared ownership. Rather than being tied to a single institution or discipline, the collective provides a common space in which researchers and educators can develop ideas together, learn from different contexts and strengthen the impact of their work. Through regular meetings, knowledge exchange and collaborative initiatives, CiRBEC seeks to build a strong international community capable of contributing to the transition towards a more sustainable, circular and regenerative built environment.
