In March 2026, members of CiRBEC came together in London for a full day of discussion, exchange and planning. Hosted at University College London (UCL) by Teresa Domenech and Ben Croxford, the meeting brought several members together in person, while most of the network joined online, reflecting the international character of the group. The meeting also provided an opportunity to welcome new members and catch up on activities since the previous gathering.
The day was organised around three main sessions. The first focused on internal organisation, including updates from members, introductions and discussion about how the group should be structured. The second turned to visibility, with conversations around the group’s identity, website, future live events and opportunities for joint educational activities. After lunch, the third session looked ahead to future research plans, revisiting shared research themes, reviewing relevant funding calls and identifying possibilities for collaboration.
The afternoon continued with presentations from members attending in person, followed by a focused group meeting on a joint paper. Beyond the formal programme, the London gathering offered something equally valuable: time to reconnect, exchange ideas and strengthen the relationships behind the network.
A big thank you to Teresa Domenech and Ben Croxford and our colleagues at UCL for hosting us in London, and to everyone who contributed—whether in the room or online. We look forward to building on the ideas and collaborations that emerged from the day.
